I have lived in Natchez, Mississippi most of my life. One of my fondest memories of this place is the Mississippi River. There is such history in this small town. The whole reason Natchez was founded all those years ago (1716 as the most important European settlement in the Lower Mississippi Valley) is because of it’s high bluffs over the river. But what took place under the bluffs is what made Natchez the place it is now. As a little girl, my mom would drive down Under The Hill so my sisters and I could see the Mississippi River. It’s one of my favorite places.
